According to him, Washington uses sanctions against the Russian side "only in order to change the behavior of Russia."
“We do not want there to be a side effect on Kazakhstan.
We want to work and we are doing it now - we are working together with the state of Kazakhstan in order to mitigate these side effects, ”RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
The ambassador also stated that the United States is interested in good relations with Kazakhstan.
Earlier, the Russian ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, assessed the impact of the sanctions on Russian politics.
