Météo France extended its orange vigilance for thunderstorms and / or rain-flooding to 19 departments from the Massif Central to the northeast of the country on Sunday.

Eight departments were already under a warning for a rainstorm possibly accompanied by hail and strong gusts of wind.

The meteorological forecast institute had already placed eight departments in the center of the country on orange vigilance (Yonne, Nièvre, Allier, Creuse, Puy-de-Dôme, Corrèze, Cantal and Lot) for a rainstorm event possibly accompanied by hail and strong gusts of wind, which should subside on Monday morning.

Vigilance until Monday morning

This vigilance has been extended and a total of 19 departments are now concerned until Monday morning 6 a.m. (those of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, Auvergne, Haut-Rhin, Ain, Rhône, Loire, Creuse, Corrèze and Lot), indicates Météo France. The institute warns of significant accumulations of precipitation, and locally hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.
