This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova. 

"In early July, a clinical study of the Sputnik V vaccine for adolescents 12-17 years old will begin in the capital," RIA Novosti quotes her.

Rakova said that the study will take place in three phases according to the already developed technology - "the same as before for citizens over 18 years old."

The first and second phases of research will be carried out on the basis of two leading Moscow children's medical institutions - Morozov Children's Hospital and Children's Hospital named after M.V.

At the same time, the third phase will be carried out in children's clinics in the capital.

“Based on the results, it will be possible to decide on the inclusion of adolescents in the vaccination program against the new coronavirus infection,” the deputy mayor said.

According to her, a total of 350 people will take part in the study, including 100 people in the first and second phases and 250 in the third phase.

“We are currently conducting a preliminary recruitment of volunteers to participate in the first and second phases of the study,” said Rakova.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, said that data had been obtained on the safety of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine for pregnant women.
