He is one of a handful of Swedish police officers who have been selected to go to St. Petersburg during the European Football Championships, and the only one from the Bergslagen police region.

Around 1,500 Swedes on site

According to the Swedish Football Association, just over 1,500 Swedish supporters are expected to be in St. Petersburg to watch football and since there is still a pandemic, there is a lot of focus on compliance with the restrictions, both among private individuals and within the police.

Sounds under Russian layer

On the spot, the Swedish constables have no police powers, but are subject to Russian law and work to serve the Russian police, with a focus on the Swedish supporters.
