China News Service, Beijing, June 11 (Jin Xu) On June 10, the 2021 "Cultural China·Water Cube Cup" Chinese Song Contest officially kicked off through an online press conference.

  Since 2011, the "Cultural China·Water Cube Cup" has been successfully held for ten consecutive years, aiming to use overseas Chinese as a bridge, to meet friends through songs, and to express love through songs.

The theme of this year's competition is "Together, Let's Start Again", highlighting the best wishes for a special year.

The press conference reviewed the exciting tidbits of previous competitions, and launched the annual poster and main visual, proclaiming the start of a brand new second decade.

  This competition is jointly organized by Beijing Radio and Television Station, Beijing National Swimming Center Co., Ltd., Beijing Performance Co., Ltd., and iQiyi.

According to the person in charge of the organizing committee, the competition is still held in a combination of online and offline methods. iQiyi, iQiyi Instant, Water Cube official website, and China Overseas Chinese website are the official information release platforms.

With the opening of the online registration channel, applicants from more than 30 countries and more than 50 competition regions have been received.

  At the press conference, representatives of overseas Chinese from all over the world, music stars such as Legend of Phoenix, Pinguan, Zhu Hua and other past judges, and many foreign friends sent blessing videos to the contest to encourage contestants to sign up for the competition.

  From the start of the competition to June 30, it is the contestant registration and qualification review stage.

From the beginning of July to July 31, each overseas competition area will organize preliminary contests for players.

From August 1st to August 15th, the Beijing Organizing Committee will conduct two rounds of semi-finals using a combination of video review and real-time online evaluation.

From August 16th to 22nd, the final will be held.

  In addition to the regular awards, the competition also set up nearly 10 special awards, including the Best Original Award, the Network Attraction Award, and the Most Potential Award, to encourage contestants to show their style in the competition.

  It is worth noting that this competition will introduce the role of "industry observer" in the final stage for the first time to provide contestants with professional development opinions.

The organizing committee will also launch a number of online supporting activities such as "Music Master Class" and "Chinese Cultural Experience" to provide more entertaining and colorful experiences.
