A few days after the death on Saturday of an 11-year-old child who had taken narcotics in Villeurbanne (Rhône), the investigation quickly moved forward.

thus indicates this Thursday that the parents of the victim, who lived with him in a squat located near the concert hall of the Transbordeur, in the metropolis of Lyon, were referred to the prosecution on Tuesday.

A judicial investigation was opened against them, in particular for the use of narcotics and aggravated manslaughter.

Both were indicted and in pre-trial detention, as the first elements of the investigation indicate that the boy died of a heroin overdose.

Investigations are continuing to find out whether the child accidentally or intentionally ingested the drugs the day before his death.
