“According to preliminary data, today, at about 6:42 am, a collision of a car and an electric train occurred at the railway crossing of the“ Competition-Bolshaya Volga ”station,” the ministry’s website said.
The electric train driver applied emergency braking, but the collision could not be avoided.
As a result, the driver and two passengers of the car died on the spot, the members of the locomotive crew and the passengers of the train were not injured.
