The Carrefour supermarket chain announced on Saturday that it was filing a complaint after a cashier in the group was the target of racist slurs by a customer, according to a video posted on social networks.
"Solidarity with our colleague insulted. These racist remarks are unacceptable. We strongly condemn them and file a complaint," tweeted the sign.
The altercation between the customer and the cashier took place in a chain store in Haute-Savoie.
"Dirty negress go, dirty black! Only blacks can do that. You see Africans like you, it makes you want to kill them", we hear on the video posted on Twitter.
An investigation has been opened, according to the Thonon-les-Bains prosecutor's office cited by the daily Le Figaro.
