China News Service, June 5, reported that the emergency landing of the Irish Ryanair airliner in Belarus continued to ferment.

On June 4, local time, the European Union announced that it would formally ban Belarusian flights from flying over EU airspace and landing.

On May 23, local time, Minsk, Belarus, an Irish Ryanair passenger plane landed at the Belarusian capital Minsk International Airport due to a bomb threat, and then took off again and landed at its destination, Vilnius, Lithuania.

According to reports, the European Council stated that member states formally approved the closure of Belarusian airspace and also prohibited flights from landing at the airports of EU member states.

According to Belarusian media reports, an Irish Ryanair airliner made an emergency landing at Minsk International Airport on May 23 due to bomb threats.

However, Western media reported that the White side claimed that there might be a bomb on the passenger plane and sent a fighter plane to "force" the plane to land in Minsk, and then arrested the Belarusian journalist Roman Protasevich who was flying on the plane and supporting the Belarusian opposition.

The European Union reacted strongly to this incident and proposed to close the airspace of Belarusian Airlines, which won the support of more than half of its member states.

On June 4, the ambassadors of 27 member states to the European Union formally approved this proposal.

According to the British "Guardian" report, the ban will take effect from June 5.

Regarding the actions of the European Union, Belarusian Foreign Minister Marki previously stated that this is an action of EU countries with a clear purpose.

Makoi said that the EU wants to portray Belarus as a "rogue country" in order to let go of its hands and feet to completely strangle it.

He said that Western countries sometimes use ordinary events to create politically motivated chaos, which is unacceptable to Belarus.
