Turkey signed an agreement to export its armed drones Bayraktar "TB2" (TB2) to Poland, a member of NATO and the European Union.

This came at a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda, on Monday, at the Presidential Complex in the capital, Ankara.

The agreement was signed by Khaluk Baykar, Director General of the Turkish Defense Industries Company, and Polish Defense Minister Marius Blaschak.

In a press conference with his Polish counterpart, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country will export armed drones for the first time to NATO member Poland.

He added, "Not only did we overcome the default that we had in the defense industries, but also moved our country to the club of adults in this field through our steps during the last 19 years."

The Turkish company Baykar said in a statement that the march Bayraktar (TB2) opened new horizons in the history of Turkish aviation, indicating that it would fly in the skies of Poland after flying in Ukraine, Qatar and Azerbaijan.

She added that Turkey would be the first time exporting high-tech weapons to a member state of NATO and the European Union.

It indicated that according to the signed agreement, 24 Turkish marches will be issued to Poland, ground control stations and ground data stations.

Also, MAM-L and MAM-C ammunition, which was supervised by the Turkish missile manufacturer Roketsan, will be exported.
