[HIGHLIGHTS] Kuçova, Albania: From “Stalinstadt” to the NATO air base – protection from Russia

NATO operates an air force base in the Albanian city of Kuçova. The reason: Vladimir Putin and his belligerence.

NATO has spent around 50 million euros on renovating the airfield. The construction of a naval base on the Adriatic coast of Albania is also being discussed. In the future, in addition to “Bayraktar” drones from Turkey, NATO fighter jets will also be able to take off from the air base. The base will contribute to security in the Western Balkans.
