The New York Times reported that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating a rare heart problem among younger people vaccinated for COVID-19.

US health officials say the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is reviewing reports that dozens of teens and young adults have had symptoms of heart muscle inflammation after getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

However, the center says the review is in its infancy and has not yet reached a conclusion that the vaccine causes these symptoms.

In particular, these symptoms were mild, and most of the younger people appeared about 4 days after completing the second dose of the messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA)-based vaccine such as Pfizer-Bioentech or Modena.

Symptoms have also been reported to be more common in men than in women.

Earlier on the 14th, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned doctors not to draw hastily conclusions about the possible link between myocarditis and the Corona 19 vaccine.

"Myocarditis in some of the vaccinators could be a coincidence," said New York infectious disease expert Dr. Zelin Gunder.

In the United States, about 10-20 people per 100,000 people each year suffer from symptoms such as fatigue, chest pain, and arrhythmia from myocarditis.
