“Today I, the plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev and the governor of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako, made a consolidated decision on my resignation from the post of head of Vladivostok,” he wrote on Instagram.

Earlier, as reported by RIA Novosti, Trutnev, following the results of his journey through Vladivostok, said that it was necessary to ask Gumenyuk to write a letter of resignation and look for a new person for this post.

Kozhemyako, during a conversation with the plenipotentiary, said that the work of the mayor for today does not satisfy either the residents or the regional authorities.

Gumenyuk took office as mayor on April 5, 2019.
