Berlin (dpa / bb) - Berlin clubs can again hope for support from the state.

“Many clubs are in need and need help.

We are therefore working intensively on a new edition of the volunteer and association aid, which will start shortly to prevent liquidity bottlenecks, ”said Sawsan Chebli (SPD), State Secretary for Civic Engagement, on Monday.

She didn't mention buzz.

In addition, among other things, advice to applicants will be expanded.

"Above all, we want to ensure that even more small associations without a full-time structure can be helped quickly and effectively," says Chebli.

A survey showed that around 70 percent of the organizations in the pandemic were able to generate less money than before.

Membership fees, donations and public funds have also decreased.

At the same time, additional costs were incurred for 43 percent, primarily due to digitization and 32 percent for hygiene measures for events.

The figures come from the so-called engagement barometer.

For this purpose, clubs in particular are asked about their situation during the Corona crisis every three to four months.

Around 420 questionnaires were answered in Berlin.
