Berlin (dpa / bb) - According to their own statements, the Berlin police have broken up a gathering of people in Görlitzer Park.

Around 300 people were there on Saturday evening around 11 p.m., said a police spokeswoman on Sunday.

Rescue workers had asked the group to leave, and a campfire had also been extinguished.

The «Tagesspiegel» had previously reported on it.

In the capital, there is currently a night curfew between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. due to the nationwide emergency brake.

As a rule, you are not allowed to leave your home or property during these hours of the night.

The exceptions include driving to work, for example.

Jogging and walking are allowed until midnight, but only on your own.

For people who are fully vaccinated against Corona or who can be shown to have gone through an infection, the restrictions no longer apply since Sunday.

For the police, this should make controls more complicated.

Summer temperatures currently prevail in Berlin.

Many people took advantage of this on Sunday to go outside.

A lot of people were out and about at Wannsee.
