Munich (dpa / lby) - The Bavarian vaccination commission, which had to decide about hardship applications for vaccination prioritization, will soon end its work.

Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) announced this on Tuesday in the state parliament's health committee.

"The vaccination commission hardly receives any applications," said Holetschek.

The remaining entries should essentially be processed in May.

The commission, headed by Munich professor Karl-Walter Jauch, processed almost 4,000 applications and issued 3,964 certificates between March 1 and mid-April.

Patients with rare diseases in particular can turn to the panel of experts and, in the event of a positive test, have them given priority in the vaccination sequence.
