Hamburg (dpa) - Dock 10 of the traditional shipyard Blohm + Voss was towed from the port of Hamburg in the direction of Bremen on Thursday.
The floating dock can usually be seen from the Landungsbrücken next to the Elbe 17 dry dock.
At the location of the Lürssen shipyard near Bremen, the floating dock is to be roofed over, a shipyard spokesman confirmed in a report by NDR.
According to the company, the renovation costs a total of more than 13 million euros.
A time for the return to the Elbe is not yet known.
