The special prosecutor for the investigation of the Sewol ferry disaster is preparing for a full-fledged investigation, such as setting up an investigation team and setting up an office this week.



According to the Permanent Special Prosecutors Act, the Special Prosecutor Lee Hyun-ju, who received the letter of appointment on the 23rd, can have two special prosecutors, no more than five dispatched prosecutors, no more than 30 special investigators, and no more than 30 officials dispatched.



This special prosecutor is expected to begin a full-scale investigation from mid-May after securing the facilities necessary for the investigation and forming an investigation team over the next 20 days.
