Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The Hamburg Senate has relaxed its corona rules for old people's homes according to a regulation published on the Internet.

According to the published reading version, fully vaccinated residents of nursing homes have been able to meet each other again without a mask and a minimum distance since Friday.

You also no longer need to be routinely tested.

The vaccinated nursing staff only has to do one rapid test per week.

Visitors still have to be tested, but are allowed to come daily, as before the pandemic.

Deviating from the information in the published reading version, the health authority stated that the regulation would only apply from Saturday.

"The entry into force will take place tomorrow," said authority spokesman Martin Helfrich.

On Friday, the official version in the Hamburg Law and Ordinance Gazette still applies

According to the Internet reading version, the exit restrictions remain unchanged and thus deviate from the federal emergency brake.

Unlike in federal law, botanical gardens and zoos must also remain closed.

Mayor Peter Tschentscher (SPD) wanted to comment on the new regulation at noon.

The press conference will be broadcast live on the internet.
