On the other hand, 5 countries - Morocco, Tunisia, Qatar, Oman and Jordan - announced that Tarawih prayers would not be held in mosques during the fasting month, which is expected to start tomorrow in most countries.

With the continuation of the pandemic, the ten countries imposed precautionary measures regarding mosque prayers, including setting a maximum time limit for Tarawih, continuing to close places for ablution, physical distancing, wearing masks, taking a prayer rug, banning religious lessons and mass breakfasts, and vaccinating against Corona.

Saudi

The King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, agreed, yesterday, Sunday, to hold Tarawih prayers in the Two Holy Mosques and reduce them to 10 rak'ahs instead of 20 rak'ahs in the normal situation.

The authorities also announced, previously, to allow the continuation of the opening of mosques in the Kingdom during the holy month, with the prohibition of observance of i'tikaaf, iftar and collective dawn in them, and adherence to prevention measures.

Palestine

On Saturday, the Palestinian government announced that Tarawih prayers would be allowed in mosques during the month of Ramadan, while Friday prayers would be maintained in public squares.

Lebanon
