Wermelskirchen (dpa / lnw) - A gritting and clearing vehicle slipped into the ditch near Wermelskirchen (Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis) and overturned.

The winter service car slipped on a slippery road surface on Tuesday evening around 6 p.m., fell down a small slope and lay on its side, said a police spokesman on Wednesday.

Nobody was harmed during the accident.

In the evening, the vehicle had been partially unloaded from the grit for the imminent recovery, as it was called.

According to a fire department spokesman, the rescue was only carried out on Wednesday by a specialist company due to the weather conditions.
