The most mysterious unit of the U.S. military's Guantanamo prison is closed, which was once a torture detention facility for the CIA

Overseas Network, April 5th. The US military stated on Sunday (4th) that the most confidential unit in Guantanamo Prison, "Camp7" (Camp7, also known as "Platinum Camp", Camp Platinum) has been closed and is being held here. All of the prisoners have been transferred to other prisons.

According to the Associated Press, the US Southern Command said in a statement that the prisoners in "Prison 7" have been "safely transferred to prison 5 without incident."

However, the military did not disclose when the transfer took place or how many prisoners were transferred.

Prior to this, Prison No. 5 was basically idle, next to Prison No. 6 where other detainees were detained.

Officials have stated that about 14 men were detained in prison cell No. 7.

Currently, there are about 40 prisoners in two prisons in Guantanamo.

According to reports, Guantanamo No. 7 prison was opened in December 2006 and was used by the CIA for secret detention and torture interrogation.

For a long time, the U.S. military has refused to recognize the existence of prison cell No. 7 and has never allowed reporters to visit.

In 2017, a prisoner in prison cell No. 7 disclosed that prisoners in the facility were subjected to psychological torture every day.

Human rights activists in the United States and internationally criticized the U.S. government for torture and torture of prisoners in Guantanamo, as well as for mental, physical, and religious insults and torture, as well as illegal detentions, which seriously violated human rights.
