military facility in Okinawa Prefecture has been designated. A total of 583 locations have been designated so far, including 148 ``Special Watch Areas'' and 435 ``Watch Areas.'' Minister of Economy and Security Takaichi told the council, "We will immediately begin investigating the usage status of land and buildings" and take steps to prevent acts that will impede the functions of important facilities.
