Neubrandenburg (dpa / mv) - A burning toaster led to the evacuation of several apartments in Neubrandenburg.
The fire brigade and police moved to an apartment in an apartment building in the city center on Saturday evening due to smoke development.
Nine people from six apartments were brought to safety, the police said on Sunday.
The three residents of the affected apartments were taken care of by the ambulance service and then released from treatment.
The fire department was able to put out the fire in the kitchen before it spread.
According to an estimate, the damage is 2000 euros.
After an initial investigation by the police, the toaster caught fire due to a technical defect.
