Apple announced that it will hold its annual developer conference this year - known for short as "WWDC 2021" - from June 7 to 11, and it will be - like last year - an online event only.

Although the event will be held via remote communication technologies to reduce gatherings and prevent the spread of the Corona pandemic, expectations indicate big surprises that he will carry with him for lovers of Apple products.

As is usual with Apple, the ad does not detail what will be shown, but it may be a hint of emoji characters wearing personal glasses.

Among the most prominent things that Apple may reveal during this event: the "iOS 15" system for iPhone phones, which is expected to bring changes in the form of operating interfaces and application icons, as well as improving the capabilities of the "FaceTime" application.

The company is also expected to announce Watch OS 8 systems for its smart watches, as Apple stated on its official pages that this system will carry new features related to the form of operating interfaces and controlling watches via voice commands.

The new macOS 12 system, which will focus on computers equipped with Apple M1 processors (М1), is also expected to appear during the event, and will give laptops a number of new features such as the "Wallet" application, And a feature that adopts "Touch ID" for the two-factor authentication system to open files or computer data, as well as new security features, and features to increase control of operating interfaces in devices.

The event is an opportunity for developers to learn about the new technologies, tools and frameworks that they depend on to build innovative and distinctive applications and games for the platform.

"We are working to make WDC 2021 our biggest and best yet, and we are excited to provide our developers with new tools to support them while creating applications that change the way we live, work and play," said Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of developer relations worldwide.

Last year, the company devoted a large portion of its keynote to announcing the transition of its Mac lineup to its Apple Silicon processors.

And it's not surprising that Apple chose to hold its global developer conference online only, given that the impact of the pandemic continues to linger around the world.
