Lübbenau (dpa / bb) - A motorcyclist was fatally injured in a serious traffic accident near Ragow (Oberspreewald-Lausitz) in the Spreewald.
According to the first findings of the police, a car driver wanted to turn left from a country road into a forest path on Wednesday and overlooked the oncoming motorcyclist.
The 66-year-old collided head-on with the motorcyclist.
An emergency doctor could only determine the death of the 20-year-old on site.
The driver was taken to hospital in shock, the police said on Thursday.
The road was closed for several hours due to salvage and rescue work.
