"President Biden has invited 40 world leaders to the climate summit he is organizing on April 22 and 23," the White House website said in a statement.
It is noted that the virtual summit will be broadcast live.
The site contains a list of invited world leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
Earlier, Putin invited Biden to hold talks online in an open mode.
