“We estimate that President Putin and the Russian authorities have ordered operations to influence the US presidential elections in 2020, aimed at discrediting President Biden and the Democratic Party,” the document says.

It also claims that the alleged operations were aimed at supporting the candidacy of Donald Trump.

“Unlike in 2016, we did not observe any attempts by Russia to infiltrate the infrastructure of the elections,” reads the text.

In November 2020, the US Department of Homeland Security said that it had not seen confirmed data on attempts to influence the presidential election from abroad.
