Munich (dpa / lby) - The last wage round in the Bavarian metal and electrical industry two weeks ago was quite turbulent - now IG Metall district chief Johann Horn is even demonstrating personally in front of the factory gates of the employers' negotiator, Angelique Renkhoff- Mosquito.

Horn will participate in a human chain on Friday afternoon in front of their company in Marktheidenfeld and speak to the warning strikers, the union said.

On Friday, IG Metall called on employees in 27 Bavarian companies to go on warning strikes, especially in Upper Franconia, Lower Franconia and Swabia.

For the first time, the metalworkers are to participate at Bosch in Bamberg and at Schaeffler in Höchstadt and Hirschaid.

In Swabia, employees of Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth are called on to a warning strike, at BMW in Dingolfing the trainees.

IG Metall demands four percent more wages or a corresponding reduction in working hours for companies in crisis.

Employers are offering a zero round in 2021, wage increases that have not yet been quantified in 2022 and are demanding that they automatically move away from the collective agreement in the event of poor business figures.
