EELV MEP Yannick Jadot, potential presidential candidate, denounced Wednesday the "ambient confusion" on the notion of the republican front and called for fighting the RN "every day", and not just for a second round of the presidential election.

"I will never put an equal sign between republican political forces that I can fight on a certain number of public policies and the extreme right, which is neither democratic nor republican", underlined on France 2 Mr. Jadot, then that at 14 months of the presidential election of 2022, the debate on a republican front in the second round against the candidate of RN Marine Le Pen, less obvious than in 2017, agitates majority and opposition.

The MEP warned against "this ambient confusion that some install where finally everything is relativized, the extreme right and then the liberalism that I am fighting (...) but always within the republican framework".

"The national rally, it is every day that it is necessary to fight it, it is not the evening or for the second round of the election with the republican front", he insisted.

"The economic and social insecurity that many of our compatriots feel, the anger, the fear they feel, I make them mine but not to exploit them, to respond to them on the support given to the economy, to the relocation and through democracy throughout society, ”he said.

Asked about Marine Le Pen's counter-project to consult the French on 15 questions relating to ecology, Yannick Jadot saw it as a National Gathering which "makes opportunism on almost all subjects", dismissing Marine Le Pen to "his two mentors, Donald Trump and Jair Bolsonaro", who "every day, act against the environment, act against social justice, act against everything that ecology carries".

"The National Rally, you must never be wrong, it is white supremacists who invade the Capitol" and "it is a political movement which is always prisoner of the worst lobbies", he accused.

The member for Pas-de-Calais criticized on Tuesday "ecologism which consists in painting green the worst attacks on the environment, and radical ecology, this fundamentalism which intends to put an end to (...) the customs which are ours ".
