Northern firefighters are busy saving pigs.

This Wednesday, from 4:20 p.m., the firefighters of the North intervene on a traffic accident in Wulverdinghe, near Saint-Omer.

The only vehicle involved is an animal transport truck, we learned from the North Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS).

The driver slightly injured

Rue Principale, in this small village in Flanders, a heavy truck loaded with a hundred pigs overturned on the side of the road, in circumstances which remain to be determined.

According to firefighters, the driver of the truck was only slightly injured.

Moreover, his condition did not require transport to the hospital.

Regarding pigs, at the time of writing, about forty had been taken out of the truck.

However, the firefighters are still busy trying to evacuate the sixty other pigs trapped in the trailer using extrication means.
