Mainz / Koblenz (dpa / lrs) - The highest court in Rhineland-Palatinate has received the announced CDU constitutional complaint in the dispute over promotions in ministries.

"The lawsuit was received here," said a spokesman for the Constitutional Court (VGH) in Koblenz on Friday of the German Press Agency - a good week before the state election on March 14th.

The constitutional complaint of the CDU state parliament opposition against the red-yellow-green state government is about the allegation that it had only inadequately answered a major request from the CDU about recruitment and promotion practices in the state chancellery and the ministries.

The Ministry of the Interior has rejected this: The government had answered the 100 questions of the CDU parliamentary group in detail on 151 pages.

With regard to the lawsuit, the VGH spokesman said that the state government would have the opportunity to comment.

The CDU parliamentary group could then comment on this.

Oral proceedings could then take place.

When that could be cannot be said yet.

The representative of the CDU, Christofer Lenz, expects a final decision on the matter within one year.

The CDU accuses the state government of concealing processes in the ministries, some of which are controversial.
