Kiel (dpa / lno) - The State Chancellery in Kiel has released an employee from duty because of comments on Facebook.

The man had expressed himself sexist and misogynist, according to a report in the "Kieler Nachrichten".

"You can't give anything to women here, nor to gays," the newspaper quoted as saying.

According to reports, the State Chancellery is reviewing disciplinary steps.

The State Chancellery did not want to comment on the process.

She said on Tuesday that there was basically no comment on personnel matters.

Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) told the "Kieler Nachrichten" that he did not tolerate sexist and discriminatory statements by employees.

"The statements in question are not acceptable under any circumstances."

The newspaper also quoted from a Facebook entry by the speaker with critical statements about Chancellor Angela Merkel, Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn and Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen (all CDU).

"I have finally lost all trust in this federal government," wrote the speaker.

The State Chancellery employee told the “Kieler Nachrichten” that he had meanwhile deleted his Facebook account.
