Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) has dampened the hope of a more comprehensive easing of the lockdown shortly before the next federal-state conference on Wednesday.

For example, one still has to carefully discuss whether the schools could be opened further next week, as requested by the Minister of Education, Susanne Eisenmann (CDU), said the head of government on Monday evening at the SWR TV duel on the state election.

The infrastructure for mass tests alone cannot be set up overnight, said Kretschmann, who pointed out that there are a million students in the country.

In his opinion, no major openings can be expected for next week.
