“Spot work” intermediary services for working in your free time are expanding. Venture companies have pioneered the development of services that use smartphone apps to mediate spot work.
Mercari, which operates a flea market app, entered this business this month. According to a survey by Yano Research Institute, the market size of spot work intermediary services in fiscal 2022 will increase by 30% from the previous year to 64.8 billion yen, and is expected to further increase to 82.4 billion yen in fiscal 2023.
