Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The Hamburger Sportbund (HSB) calls for a structured perspective on opening up sport after the current corona lockdown.

As HSB board member Ralph Lehnert announced on Friday, the deliberations between the Prime Minister and Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) on March 3 should "create the necessary conditions".

The gradual opening is to be carried out in the Hanseatic city in four steps, the timing of which depends on the infection situation in the city.

It begins with outdoor sports for children and young people and ends with sports for everyone in open and closed sports facilities.

Lehnert: “Those responsible in clubs and associations know very well that you have to act carefully.

But offers on sports fields and public areas in the open should now be made possible. "

Dirk Fischer, President of the Hamburg Football Association (HFV), wrote a letter to Mayor Peter Tschentscher (SPD) on Friday: "Our children and young people not only have to go back to school, but also back to the field!"

Due to the low risk of infection in football as an open-air sport, training should at least be permitted again nationwide from March 7th.

In addition to the relaxation for active sports operations, the HSB believes that further financial support is required for the clubs that are particularly threatened economically.

This should be processed promptly and directly.
