Potsdam (dpa / bb) - After several weeks there are first easing of the hard lockdown in Brandenburg.

Zoos, animal and wildlife parks that have been closed since November 2nd can reopen - but only their outdoor facilities, animal houses remain closed for the time being.

Several parks have already announced their opening.

With the new Corona Ordinance, which comes into force today, Monday, districts and urban districts can also take their own protective measures such as closing daycare centers if the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants rises above 200 in a week.

So far, there was a limit of 300. What is also new is that the districts can order an alcohol ban on public streets and squares.

On February 22nd, elementary schools are to open for alternating lessons between school and home.

The state parliament's health committee is discussing today whether or not to contradict the new corona regulation.

The state parliament has been able to object to a regulation since December.

The Health Committee has not done that since then.
