Berlin (dpa / bb) - A warehouse in Berlin-Marienfelde caught fire on Thursday evening in full extent.

So far, there have been no injuries, as a fire department spokesman said on Thursday evening.

Because of the heavy smoke development, residents are asked to keep windows and doors closed and, if necessary, to turn off the air conditioning.

A radius of about three kilometers around Motzener Straße is affected.

According to initial findings, the warehouse belongs to a metal company, as the spokesman said.

There was an incident in the company.

It is a major operation for the fire brigade - there were around 100 fire fighters on site.
