The alarm came just before 8 pm on Wednesday night and the man in his 80s is said to have disappeared since he went on a skating trip.
- When he did not return the time he stated, the relatives became anxious and sounded the alarm, says Rickard Lundqvist, press spokesperson for the police.
There is a large influx on the site and the search is done with, among other things, a helicopter and dog patrol.
At present, it is not clear whether the man has fallen through the ice.
At 22 o'clock the man was still not found.
