According to the number of motorists turning around in front of the entrance, the information had circulated poorly upstream.

Since February 1, the Commerce underground car park, built under the place of the same name, has been completely closed.

The equipment, which had 538 places, will be closed for ten months, ie until December.

The project mainly concerns the accessibility of the car park for pedestrians and people with reduced mobility.

An elevator will thus be created on the site of the old flower market, which will soon be demolished.

The pedestrian-bike exit of the Brancas path will be reduced.

The car park will also benefit from a reduction in safety standards and waterproofing interventions.

Charging stations for electric vehicles will also be installed.

More generally, these works are part of the redevelopment of the Feydeau-Commerce sector.

Work on public spaces will continue until summer 2022. They will concern, in particular, the creation of fountains and the repair of the tram station.

Nine other underground car parks remain available in Nantes city center.
