Kemnath (dpa / lby) - Despite the risk of black ice, a car driver raced at 147 kilometers per hour on the Bundesstraße 22 in the Upper Palatinate.
Police caught him on Monday at speed controls with the laser handheld device, as the Kemnath police station announced on Tuesday.
The driver, whose car was highly motorized, now expects a fine of at least 160 euros and a one-month driving ban.
When the officers measured the speed of the vehicles between Kemnath and Erbendorf (Tirschenreuth district), there was persistent rain and temperatures around freezing point.
