The crimes are said to have taken place between June 2019 and February 2020, when a transport of cannabis went from Spain through Europe with the final destination Kungsängen north of Stockholm.
- We have managed to stop the drug from entering the Swedish market and seized almost 400 kg of cannabis.
The approach has been similar to an international company that deals with drugs, says chamber prosecutor Sara Nilsson at the National Unit against International and Organized Crime, which is leading the preliminary investigation.
Swedish police infiltrated the organization
In order to arrest the two men, the Swedish police have, among other things, infiltrated a number of people to access those who are at the top of the criminal organization.
The two accused men are suspected of extremely serious drug smuggling and extremely serious drug offenses.
