Berlin (dpa) - Professional footballer Florian Huebner sustained an injury during training with Bundesliga club 1. FC Union Berlin.

As coach Urs Fischer said at a press conference on Monday before the game against RB Leipzig, the 29-year-old was brought to the Berlin Charité for an examination immediately afterwards.

Huebner was injured in the morning session in "a fierce duel," said Fischer and added: "I hope that is not too bad."

An exact diagnosis was not yet available.

At the weekend, racism allegations about Hübner and a violent argument with Nadiem Amiri from Bayer Leverkusen caused a stir.

"Of course it concerns him, it concerns us all," said Fischer: "It will now be clarified, but it is already affecting him."

The situation will have consequences before the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB).

The DFB control committee has already announced that it will investigate the allegations.
