The Iraqi presidencies have affirmed that all measures will be taken to ensure the integrity of early elections, and to secure broad popular participation, away from the power of arms.

The Iraqi presidency said in a statement that President Barham Salih held a joint meeting with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zidan, in the presence of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Hennes Blashart, and the President and members of the Electoral Commission, to discuss ways to ensure the integrity of the elections scheduled for 6th of next June.

In their statement, the Iraqi presidencies stressed the need to take all measures and preparations to ensure early elections, by providing the necessary conditions that give their results the utmost credibility, and guarantee the true representation of all Iraqis and reflect their free will in choosing their representatives without influences and pressures, so that their results are compatible with the popular will. And its full belief in their representation in the government and the House of Representatives.

And the Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic stated in its statement that "the meeting stressed the need to take strict measures to prevent fraud and manipulation in all steps of the electoral process, starting with the vote of voters, passing through the counting and sorting process, to announcing the results, and integrity and transparency must be taken into account. The various stages of its conduct, and international observers are seriously invited in coordination with the relevant department in the United Nations mission. "

The meeting pointed out the need to ensure the opportunity to participate in the elections for all Iraqi people of all sects, to resolve the outstanding issues that prevent this, and to provide the legal and administrative requirements for the participation of the displaced, the displaced and others.

They also stressed the importance of increasing the biometric registration rate and developing mechanisms that assist in the registration process for the purpose of adopting the biometric card exclusively in the upcoming elections, and completing the legislation related to the Federal Court law as soon as possible, and the need to support the Elections Commission by state institutions and related supporting agencies, and to provide human resources. And finance for the success of organizing elections.

The Federal Court, which is the highest legal body in the country and whose duties is to certify the election results, suffers from an imbalance in its quorum due to the death of one of its members and the resignation of another.
