A meeting of the House of Councilors' Settlement Committee was held in the Diet. Discussions were held regarding issues surrounding political funding parties of factions of the Liberal Democratic Party and emergency preparedness.
Prime Minister Kishida said the party is working out the system while referring to the practices of other countries. He was also asked to clarify whether he had interviewed former Prime Minister Mori, saying, ''We are conducting interviews that are necessary for determining political responsibility. I will refrain from revealing anything from the perspective of ensuring security.''
