Los Angeles (AP) - Actor, author and director Ben Affleck (48) is to film the bestseller template “Keeper of the Lost Cities” for the Disney studio, as reported by the US industry journals “Variety” and “Deadline.com”.
The fantasy book series by the American author Shannon Messenger revolves around the 12-year-old girl Sophie, who uses telepathic skills to discover her true origins in a magical elven world.
Another directing project became known last August.
Affleck is also supposed to film “The Big Goodbye” about the creation of the iconic thriller “Chinatown” from 1974.

Affleck and his friend Matt Damon won an Oscar in 1998 for their joint screenplay for "Good Will Hunting".
His directorial work “Argo” brought Affleck for “Best Film” in 2013 another Oscar as a producer.
Most recently he was seen as an actor in the sports drama "Out of Play - The Way Back".
