Val di Fiemme (dpa) - Markus Eisenbichler and Eric Frenzel sell a home World Cup for Nordic skiers, of course.
But the organizers in Oberstdorf have now discovered a face for themselves in the long-standing cross-country skiing discipline: Katharina Hennig.
At the most recent press conference, the 24-year-old from Oberwiesenthal was present alongside association president Franz Steinle and managing director Moritz Beckers-Schwarz - she spoke about her prospects, wishes and dreams for the event, which begins on February 23 in Oberstdorf.
Only a few days later, at the start of the 2021 World Cup, Hennig began to really convince in terms of sport.
At the prestigious Tour de Ski, she has already achieved three top results with ranks five, eight and nine - and that before the grand finale in Val di Fiemme this weekend.
«My personal conclusion is very positive.
My strength is the classic.
So I'm all the happier that I was also able to deliver a good result in freestyle, ”said Hennig.

Hennig can therefore spend the second day of rest including the crossing from Toblach into the picturesque Fiemme Valley in peace.
Germany's best cross-country skier is heading for a top 10 placement.
Team boss Peter Schlickenrieder says: "It's good for the whole team."
