Erkrath (dpa / lnw) - Police on a large scale: A 39-year-old woman who was reported missing was found injured near Erkrath (Mettmann district).
The police had searched for the disabled woman on Tuesday evening due to the cold, among other things, according to a statement.
Detection dogs and a rescue helicopter were also used.
During a hike in a forest area, the woman in the area of the Erkrath Neandertal was previously out of sight and was reported as missing by relatives, it said.
Irrespective of the police search, witnesses had alerted an ambulance for the fallen and injured woman in the Hochdahl district of Erkrath. On site, the emergency services found out that it was the missing person. It was said that she was taken to a Düsseldorf hospital in an ambulance and admitted to hospital.
