- I have registered my interest in helping, right now I am waiting for contact with the region about what they want from us and what we can have for cooperation, says Åsa Klüft Kåberg who is operations manager at Vaccination Växjö.

Right now, the first phase of four has begun the vaccination against covid-19 in the Kronoberg Region.

The initial phase is mainly about vaccinating care recipients in the municipal health care, but also care staff.

Everything according to the Public Health Agency's plan.

Three months wait

At the beginning of April, the fourth phase is expected to begin, when it comes to vaccinating people between the ages of 18 and 69 who do not belong to any risk group.

In Kronoberg County, there are 110,000 people.

- We have the capacity to vaccinate up to 60 people a day, we may need to work on Saturdays and also bring in extra staff if needed, says Åsa Klüft Kåberg. '

Procurement in January

There is much that is unclear about the details of what is required before the procurement is carried out.

But in mid-January, the Kronoberg Region is expected to have created a requirements specification for the procurement of private vaccination centers in the county.

- It is mainly about the logistics around receiving and handling the vaccine.

There is a need for a functioning medical record management, trained staff and a better clear picture of who is to be vaccinated, says Magnus Munge who is operations manager at the pharmaceutical unit in the Kronoberg Region.
