It was at 2.40 pm on Tuesday afternoon that the 16-year-old left the stable at Fliseryd-Torp.

Only twenty minutes later the horse came back without the girl on its back.

The 16-year-old is suspected of having fallen off during the journey and when relatives could not find her, the police were alerted.

After the police searched with patrols and dogs, the girl was found alive just before 6 pm on Tuesday evening.

- It was a police patrol that found her and she is currently being checked by an ambulance on the spot, says Evelina Olsson, press spokesperson at the police.

The public made the search more difficult: "Experiencing it as a problem"

Tips from the public were requested, but the police did not want people to go out and help because it makes it difficult for the dogs to be tracked.

- The public has nevertheless gone out and searched and we experience it as a problem.

We appreciate the good forces but must kindly but firmly ask people to stay at home, Rickard Lundqvist, the police's spokesperson, said earlier in the search.
